VisitIDF Uncovers 800-Meter Hezbollah Tunnel for Israel Invasion; Strikes Beirut and Nabatieh Targets
Oct 16, 2024, 04:45 AM
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have uncovered an 800-meter-long underground compound in southern Lebanon used by Hezbollah's elite Radwan Force, intended for an attack larger than October 7. The complex, located within a civilian neighborhood, housed weapons, ammunition, motorcycles, living quarters, and food supplies, indicating preparations for a potential invasion into northern Israel. The IDF also conducted naval strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon. In response, the IDF launched airstrikes on Hezbollah targets, including an underground weapons storage facility in Beirut's Dahieh stronghold, and issued evacuation warnings to residents. Additionally, the IDF dismantled Hezbollah's underground infrastructure in the Nabatieh area. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed 'no ceasefire' in Lebanon following Hezbollah threats.
