VisitIDF Reveals Hezbollah's $500 Million Bunker Under Al-Sahel Hospital, Won't Strike Facility
Oct 21, 2024, 07:10 PM
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have revealed that Hezbollah is allegedly storing hundreds of millions of dollars in cash and gold in a bunker located beneath Al-Sahel General Hospital in Beirut. IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari disclosed on Monday night that the bunker, which holds at least $500 million, features entry and exit tunnels and is situated under the hospital in Haret Hreik, a suburb in southern Beirut. The funds are purportedly used to finance Hezbollah's terrorist operations rather than being utilized for the rehabilitation of Lebanon. The IDF declassified intelligence on the site and shared details with the public, intending to inform the Lebanese people of the location of the funds. Despite the revelation, the IDF stated that they will not strike the hospital facility. This information was released amid heightened tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.
