VisitIDF Reports UNRWA Employee Killed in West Bank Raid; Three UNRWA Employees Among Hamas Operatives
Sep 14, 2024, 07:03 AM
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have reported that a United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) employee was killed in a raid in the West Bank while allegedly throwing explosives at troops. This incident has intensified ongoing allegations that UNRWA employs Hamas operatives. Reports indicate that some UNRWA staff members have participated in terrorist activities, including the October 7 atrocities. Among the nine Hamas members killed in a targeted strike in Nuseirat, three were UNRWA employees, including Muhammad Adnan Abu Zaid. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has expressed concern over these allegations, stating that it is unacceptable for a UN agency staffer to enable or participate in terrorism. Calls for the disbandment of UNRWA have been growing amid these accusations.
