VisitIDF Recovers Bodies of Six Hostages Executed by Hamas in Gaza
Aug 22, 2024, 12:05 PM
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet have recovered the bodies of six Israeli hostages from Khan Yunis, Gaza, who were taken alive on October 7. Autopsies revealed bullet wounds in all six bodies, indicating they were executed by their Hamas captors. The hostages, identified as Avraham Munder, Alex Dancyg, Chaim Peri, Yagev Buchshtab, Yoram Metzger, and Nadav Popplewell, were fathers, grandfathers, and sons. The discovery of gunshot wounds has intensified calls for holding Hamas accountable and securing the release of remaining hostages. The bodies of four apparent Hamas members were also found nearby without signs of gunfire.
