IDF Prepares for Potential Ground Invasion in Lebanon After Monday Morning Airstrikes

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is preparing for the next stage of its operation in Lebanon, which may include a ground invasion. This follows a wave of airstrikes against Hezbollah targets on Monday morning. IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi and Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin, Chief of the IDF Northern Command, have emphasized the need for the military to be 'strongly prepared' for a potential ground offensive. The IDF has mobilized two reserve brigades to support operational missions on the northern front. Halevi noted that the airstrikes are intended to prepare the area for a possible ground entry and to continue degrading Hezbollah's capabilities, with a significant focus on rockets. The IDF spokesperson also stated that Israel is in 'full readiness' for a ground invasion.
