IDF Launches Ground Operation in Jabaliya, Northern Gaza, Targeting Hamas

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have initiated a significant ground operation in the northern Gaza Strip, specifically targeting the Jabaliya area. The operation, led by the IDF's 162nd Division, involves the 401st and 460th armored brigades, which have encircled Jabaliya. The Israeli Air Force is also conducting heavy bombing of Hamas positions. The offensive follows intelligence reports indicating that Hamas was attempting to rebuild its infrastructure in the area. Prior to the operation, the IDF instructed local residents to evacuate. The operation, which began on Saturday night, is described by locals as resembling the beginning of the war. Dozens of targets were hit before the ground maneuver.
