VisitIDF Intercepts Medium Range Surface-to-Surface Missile Fired by Hezbollah Towards Tel Aviv
Sep 25, 2024, 03:59 AM
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that a medium range ballistic missile was fired from Lebanon towards Tel Aviv. The missile, identified as a surface-to-surface ballistic missile, was intercepted by Israel's aerial defense system. Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for the launch, stating that the missile targeted the headquarters of the IDF's Intelligence Unit 8200. Alarm sirens were activated in Tel Aviv and Netanya areas as the missile was detected crossing from Lebanon. The missile was likely one of the few hundred Fateh-110 short-range ballistic missiles in Hezbollah’s arsenal. There have been no immediate reports of injuries following the interception, according to Magen David Adom.
