The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported the elimination of two key Hezbollah commanders in southern Lebanon within 24 hours. On October 25, the IDF conducted an airstrike that killed Ahmed Jaafar Maatouk, the commander of Hezbollah's Bint Jbeil sector. The following day, the IDF announced that they had also eliminated Maatouk's successor and Hezbollah's head of artillery in the same region.
