Oct 4, 2024, 10:57 AM
Yesterday (Thursday), Israeli Air Force fighter jets, directed by the IDF Intelligence Directorate, struck and destroyed a 3.5-kilometer-long underground tunnel crossing between Lebanon and Syria. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the tunnel was operated by Hezbollah's Unit 4400, which is tasked with delivering Iranian weapons to Hezbollah. The tunnel was used to smuggle and store large quantities of weapons and was considered a key route for arms transfer into Lebanon. The operation was part of the IDF's effort to prevent weapons from being smuggled into Lebanese territories.
