VisitIDF Conducts Major Airstrike on Hezbollah HQ in Beirut, Six Buildings Flattened, Targets Nasrallah
Sep 27, 2024, 04:27 PM
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a significant airstrike on Hezbollah's central headquarters in Beirut, targeting the group's leader, Hassan Nasrallah. IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari confirmed that the headquarters, located beneath residential buildings in the Dahiyeh suburb, was struck using bunker-buster bombs. Reports indicate that six buildings were flattened in the attack. Israeli and U.S. officials are investigating whether Nasrallah and several of his lieutenants, who were reportedly in Beirut for a brief visit, were present at the time of the strike. The fate of Nasrallah remains unclear, with some sources suggesting he may have been injured or killed. As of now, there is no change in Home Front Command guidelines.
