ICE Arrests 308 Undocumented Migrants on Trump's First Day, Targeting 700,000 Public Safety Threats

On President Donald Trump's first full day in office, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested 308 undocumented migrants across the U.S., according to Border Czar Tom Homan. Some of those arrested were charged with serious crimes, including murder and child rape. Homan emphasized that ICE is focusing on apprehending individuals who pose threats to public safety, estimating that there are approximately 700,000 such individuals in the country. He stated that ICE is performing its job effectively and will continue to do so daily. Homan also mentioned plans to restart immigration raids, including in sanctuary cities, and indicated that ICE would act even without local cooperation.
