May 20, 2024, 11:44 AM
The International Criminal Court (ICC) has announced that it is seeking arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and several Hamas leaders, including Yahya Sinwar, Mohammed Deif, and Ismail Haniyeh. The ICC's chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, stated that these warrants are being sought on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity. The charges stem from the October 7 attacks on Israel by Hamas and the subsequent military actions in Gaza. Additionally, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant is among those for whom arrest warrants are being sought.
