Nov 21, 2024, 12:29 PM
The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, alleging war crimes and crimes against humanity committed from at least October 8, 2023, until at least May 20, 2024, during the Gaza conflict. The charges include the war crime of using starvation as a method of warfare and crimes against humanity such as murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts. The ICC's decision obliges its 124 member states to arrest Netanyahu and Gallant if they enter their territories. The ICC also issued an arrest warrant for Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif, who is accused of orchestrating the October 7 attack on Israel.
