VisitHumble Games Shuts Down, Lays Off 36 Employees on July 23
Jul 23, 2024, 07:19 PM
Humble Games, an indie game publisher known for titles such as Signalis, Unpacking, Coral Island, and Forager, has reportedly shut down. The closure has resulted in the layoff of all 36 employees at 9AM on July 23. The decision to close the seven-year-old publishing label, owned by IGN, was made without apparent prior warning. The shutdown is a significant loss for the gaming industry, as Humble Games recently helped publish Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus and had multiple unreleased projects in the pipeline. No official comment has been made by Humble Games regarding the closure or the future of the unreleased games.
