VisitHouston Judge Orders Liquidation of Alex Jones' Assets to Pay $1.5 Billion to Sandy Hook Families
Jun 14, 2024, 05:33 PM
A federal judge in Houston has ordered the liquidation of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones' personal assets to help pay the $1.5 billion he owes the families of Sandy Hook shooting victims. This ruling, issued on Friday, follows a defamation lawsuit where Jones falsely claimed the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was a hoax. The judge is also deciding on the separate bankruptcy case of Jones' company, Infowars, which could determine the future of the media platform. The liquidation will be trustee-supervised.
