The legislation mandates that goods produced in Israeli-controlled areas of Judea and Samaria be labeled as originating from 'Israel.' The act aims to counter the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which seeks to harm Israel's economy. House Republicans assert that the bill will strengthen the bond between the United States and Israel and reaffirm America's commitment to its ally. The bill also codifies a rule implemented during President Trump's administration. Representatives Aaron Bean and Josh Brecheen also voiced their support for the bill.
