VisitHomeless Florida Man Arrested in New York Stock Exchange Bomb Plot
Nov 21, 2024, 01:23 AM
Federal authorities have arrested a 30-year-old homeless Florida man, Harun Abdul-Malik Yener, on charges of plotting to bomb the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) this week. According to charging documents unsealed on Wednesday, Yener was apprehended in Coral Springs, Florida, after an FBI investigation that began in February following a tip about bomb-making schematics. Undercover FBI agents engaged with Yener, who allegedly intended to attack the NYSE in an effort to "reboot" or "reset" the U.S. government. Yener purportedly said he "feels like Bin Laden" and "wanted to hit" the NYSE. He is charged with attempting to use an explosive device to damage or destroy a building used in interstate commerce.
