VisitHoda Kotb to Leave NBC's 'Today' Show at End of 2024 After 26 Years
Sep 26, 2024, 12:52 PM
Hoda Kotb, a long-time fixture at NBC, has announced her departure from the 'Today' show at the end of 2024. Kotb has been with NBC for 26 years, including 17 years on 'Today' and over five years as co-anchor. She cited a desire to spend more time with her two young daughters and turning 60 as key factors in her decision. Kotb's departure will create two critical anchor vacancies for NBC's morning franchise. Despite stepping down, she will remain an occasional contributor to NBC. In a letter to staff, she expressed her love for the team and received heartfelt tributes from colleagues, including Savannah Guthrie and Jenna Bush Hager.
