VisitHezbollah Targets Ramat David Airbase in Northern Israel with Dozens of Fadi-1/2 Rockets
Sep 21, 2024, 11:05 PM
Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for a rocket attack targeting the Ramat David Airbase in northern Israel. The attack, which involved the use of Fadi-1 and Fadi-2 long-range rockets, was reportedly in response to Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon. Israeli officials confirmed that the airbase, located southeast of Haifa and housing F-16C/D squadrons and drones, was the intended target. Hezbollah's statement indicated that dozens of rockets were fired, although the Israeli Defense Forces reported around 10 projectiles. Footage released by Hezbollah on its Telegram channel showed the attack, marking the first use of Fajr-5 missiles since 2006. The group cited repeated Israeli attacks on Lebanese regions, resulting in civilian casualties, as the reason for their retaliation. The airbase, located in the Jezreel Valley, is about 50 kilometers from the Lebanon border and includes an airport.
