The militant group has established a new military command to oversee rocket strikes and ground combat operations in total secrecy. Despite the severe damage to its command structure, Hezbollah still possesses a considerable stockpile of weapons. The group's media chief, Mohammad Afif, stated that the battle with Israel is still in its early stages and emphasized Hezbollah's priority of achieving a military defeat over Israel.
