VisitHezbollah Fires Over 100 Rockets Into Northern Israel; Israel Responds with Strikes on Lebanon
Sep 22, 2024, 11:37 AM
Hezbollah launched over 100 rockets into northern Israel early Sunday, targeting areas near Haifa. This attack followed a mass bombing by Israel in Lebanon, which resulted in dozens of casualties, including a Hezbollah commander. The Israeli military reported that some of the rockets were intercepted, while others impacted Kiryat Bialik, near Haifa. In response, Israel carried out strikes across Lebanon over the past 24 hours, hitting approximately 400 militant sites. Earlier, Hezbollah had fired 140 rockets on Friday and 85 rockets on Sunday morning, as confirmed by the Israeli military. Hezbollah's leader Hassan Nasrallah had vowed retaliation.
