VisitHezbollah Claims Responsibility for Sunday Morning Attack on Ramat David Airbase
Sep 21, 2024, 11:45 PM
Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for a significant rocket attack on northwestern Israel, targeting the Ramat David Airbase southeast of Haifa on Sunday morning. The attack involved the use of Fadi-1 and Fadi-2 missiles, marking the first such deployment since 2006. According to reports, approximately 15 Fajr-5 rockets with a range of 75 kilometers were fired, along with over 100 other rockets targeting Haifa and Galilee. Hezbollah stated the attack was in support of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated that most of the rockets were intercepted or landed in open areas, but the attack represents a notable escalation in the ongoing conflict. A fire broke out in the city of Nazareth as a result of the attack.
