VisitHezbollah Claims Drone Attack, Israel Responds with 16 Strikes and 45-Rocket Attack on Mount Meron
Sep 11, 2024, 07:23 AM
Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for a drone attack on a residential building in Nahariya, Israel, stating that the intended target was the IDF's Shraga Camp. Three explosive-laden drones launched from Lebanon struck near the border community of Shlomi, lightly injuring two soldiers. In response, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) conducted extensive airstrikes across southern Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah assets, including rocket launch sites and weapon storage sites. The strikes were reported in multiple areas such as Zibqeen and the Tyre district, with at least 16 strikes in the morning. Hezbollah also launched a 45-rocket attack on Mount Meron. A senior Hezbollah commander was killed in a cross-border drone strike by Israel in the town of Mays al-Jabal. The IDF's actions come as the military shifts its focus from Gaza to Lebanon, as stated by Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
