Harvey Weinstein appeared in a Manhattan courtroom on Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to a new indictment charging him with a criminal sexual act in the first degree. The indictment, which was unsealed earlier this month by a grand jury, stems from an alleged incident in a lower Manhattan hotel between April and May 2006. This new charge comes nearly five months after Weinstein's previous sex crimes conviction in New York was overturned. Weinstein's lawyer, Arthur Aidala, stated that they have 'absolutely no idea' who the accuser is. Weinstein is currently awaiting a retrial in his landmark #MeToo case, scheduled for November. Prosecutors announced that a new victim has come forward, providing additional evidence and charges.
