VisitHarvey Weinstein Pleads Not Guilty to First-Degree Criminal Sexual Act Charge in New York, Awaits Retrial
Sep 18, 2024, 08:04 PM
Harvey Weinstein pleaded not guilty to a new criminal sexual act charge in the first degree in New York on Wednesday. The indictment, unsealed earlier this month, accuses Weinstein of sexually assaulting a woman in a Manhattan hotel between April and May 2006. This new charge comes nearly five months after his previous sex crimes conviction was overturned. Weinstein's lawyer, Arthur Aidala, stated they have 'absolutely no idea' who the accuser is. Weinstein, who recently underwent heart surgery, is awaiting a retrial in his landmark #MeToo case, which is set to begin in two months.
