Hamas to Release Hostages Sharabi, Levy, Ben Ami in Exchange for 183 Prisoners

Hamas has announced it will release three Israeli hostages—Eli Sharabi, 52, Or Levy, 34, and Ohad Ben Ami, 56—on Saturday as part of a prisoner exchange under the ongoing ceasefire in Gaza. Sharabi, who was kidnapped from Kibbutz Beeri where his wife and daughters were murdered, has been held captive for 15 months. In exchange, Israel will release 183 Palestinian prisoners, including 18 serving life sentences and 111 Gazans detained during the recent conflict. The exchange, facilitated by the Red Cross, marks the fifth round of releases since the ceasefire began. The handover is scheduled to occur at 8:30 AM and 12:00 PM on Saturday, with Hamas delivering the hostages to the Red Cross in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza. Israeli officials have confirmed receipt of the names of the hostages. The prisoner exchange is facilitated through mediating countries such as Qatar, with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani acting as an intermediary.
