Aug 3, 2024, 11:51 AM
Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, was assassinated in Tehran by a short-range projectile, according to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The projectile, which had a warhead weighing approximately 7 kilograms, was fired from outside the guest accommodation area in Tehran's northern Sa'adabad district where Haniyeh was staying, killing both Haniyeh and his bodyguard. The IRGC has attributed the operation to the Zionist regime, supported by the United States. The assassination involved a strong explosion, and the IRGC has vowed to avenge Haniyeh's death at an appropriate time and place.
