Islam Hijazi, the Program Director of Heal Palestine and a mother of two, was brutally murdered by Hamas in Gaza yesterday. The incident occurred near the Jordanian Hospital in Khan Yunis while she was driving her jeep. Local media in Gaza have refrained from reporting that Hamas was responsible due to fear. Her husband, Momen El-Faram, confirmed that 90 bullets were fired at her car and stated that Hamas claimed it was a 'mistake.' Reports suggest that Hijazi was killed after refusing to hand over funds meant for civilian aid. Hamas thugs were reportedly involved in the incident.
