VisitHamas Claims British-Israeli Hostage Nadav Popplewell Died from Israeli Airstrike Wounds
May 11, 2024, 03:18 PM
Hamas' armed wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, announced the death of Nadav Popplewell, a 51-year-old British-Israeli hostage, claiming he succumbed to wounds sustained from an Israeli airstrike on his place of detention. Popplewell was initially kidnapped from Kibbutz Nirim on October 7. Despite Hamas releasing a video showing Popplewell alive, they later stated that he died due to injuries from the airstrike. There is no independent verification of Popplewell's death, and Israel has not confirmed the circumstances. His mother, Hanna Peri, was released during a November ceasefire, and his brother Roi was killed in the attack.
