Oct 6, 2024, 11:40 PM
343 Industries, the developer behind the Halo franchise, has officially rebranded to Halo Studios. The company announced that all future Halo games will be developed using Unreal Engine 5, marking a significant shift from the Slipspace Engine previously used. This move was revealed at the Halo World Championships, where concept art and new images of the game's iconic character, Master Chief, rendered in Unreal Engine 5, were showcased. The rebranding and engine switch aim to explore the creative potential of Unreal Engine 5 and bring a new chapter to the Halo series. Multiple projects, including Project Foundry, are currently in development under this new direction.
