Greece has signed a Foreign Military Sales Letter of Offer and Acceptance with the US Department of Defense to procure 20 F-35A Joint Strike Fighters from Lockheed Martin, making it the 19th country to join the F-35 program. The contract, valued at $3.5 billion, includes an option for Greece to purchase an additional 20 multirole combat aircraft, potentially increasing the total deal value to $8.5 billion.
