VisitGraeme McDowell Suspended, Fined $125k for Anti-Doping Violation at LIV Golf Greenbrier
Aug 11, 2024, 06:01 PM
Graeme McDowell has been suspended for one event and fined $125,000 for violating the LIV Golf League's anti-doping policy during the Nashville event in June. The Northern Irish golfer, a former US Open winner, admitted to taking Vick's decongestant, which led to the breach. As a result, McDowell will not compete at the upcoming Greenbrier tournament, and his team, Smash GC, will have their points and prize money from Nashville redistributed. A reserve player will replace him at Greenbrier, and McDowell plans to return at LIV Chicago. The suspension was announced on August 11, 2024.
