Google Unveils Upgraded Gemini 1.5 Models with 50% Price Reduction and 2x Faster Output

Google has announced the release of two upgraded Gemini 1.5 models, Gemini-1.5-Pro-002 and Gemini-1.5-Flash-002. These models feature significant improvements in performance, including a 7% increase in MMLU-Pro benchmark, 20% improvement in math tasks, and enhancements in vision and code tasks. Additionally, the new models offer a 50% price reduction for the 1.5 Pro version, 2x faster output, and 3x lower latency. The Gemini 1.5 models are also integrated into Google Workspace, providing enhanced security and privacy standards, including SOC 1/2/3 and ISO 27701 certifications, and are available to Business, Enterprise, and Frontline plan customers. Google has also increased rate limits for these models, making them more accessible and efficient for developers. The models are free to access on Google AI Studio and the Gemini API.
