VisitGoogle to Use C2PA Technology to Identify AI-Generated Images in Search and Ads
Sep 17, 2024, 04:15 PM
Google has announced plans to use the Content Authenticity Initiative’s (CAI) C2PA provenance technology to identify images taken with a camera, edited in tools like Photoshop, or made using AI. This technology will be incorporated into Google's Search and Ads systems. The 'about this image' feature will help users distinguish real images from fake ones, enhancing transparency and trust in digital content. Google will begin flagging AI-generated images in Search later this year.
