VisitGoogle's IllumiNeRF Achieves SotA Results in 3D Relighting Benchmarks
Jun 11, 2024, 04:29 AM
Google has introduced IllumiNeRF, a new method for 3D relighting that does not rely on inverse rendering. This approach achieves state-of-the-art (SotA) results on multiple relighting benchmarks. IllumiNeRF simplifies the process by relighting each input image using an image diffusion technique, rather than disentangling object geometry, materials, and lighting. This method contrasts with existing techniques that use a set of images of an object under unknown lighting to recover a 3D representation for rendering under target illumination.
