VisitGoogle Rolls Out Ads in AI Search Summaries, Launches 'Organized with AI' in US
Oct 3, 2024, 04:14 PM
Google has begun integrating advertisements into its AI-generated search summaries, known as AI Overviews, expanding the role of AI in its search results. Starting today, users in the US will see sponsored product suggestions and ads, labeled as 'Sponsored', displayed within and alongside the AI summaries at the top of some search results. The ads will be drawn from advertisers' existing campaigns. Google has been testing this feature since May. Additionally, Google is rolling out a redesigned AI Overviews experience and introducing 'Organized with AI' in the US, grouping search results with unique, AI-generated headlines. This rollout includes mobile search. These initiatives signify Google's continued efforts to monetize its AI capabilities while enhancing user search experiences.
