Google Partners with RapidSOS to Enable 911 Texting via RCS Starting This Winter

Google has announced a new partnership with RapidSOS to enable users to contact 911 through RCS (Rich Communication Services). This feature will be integrated into Google Messages, allowing Android users to text emergency services. The update, described as a much safer way to text 911, is set to roll out starting this winter, enhancing the safety and communication capabilities of Android devices. RapidSOS is a platform for emergency first responders.
