Google Moves Gemini App Team to DeepMind; Nick Fox Replaces Prabhakar Raghavan

Google has announced a significant reorganization, moving the Gemini app team to its AI subsidiary, DeepMind. The team, led by Sissie Hsiao, will now report to DeepMind's CEO, Demis Hassabis. Additionally, Prabhakar Raghavan, the executive overseeing Google's search and advertising, is stepping down from his role after four years. He will be succeeded by Nick Fox, a longtime Google executive. Raghavan will transition to a new position as Chief Technologist, reporting directly to Google CEO Sundar Pichai. These changes come as Google faces increasing pressure from advancements in artificial intelligence and aim to simplify the company's structures.
