VisitGoogle Fixes Flaws in Workspace and Chrome Password Manager, Impacting 15 Million Windows Users
Jul 29, 2024, 06:43 AM
Google has addressed two significant issues affecting its services. The company fixed a flaw that allowed hackers to bypass email verification and create thousands of Workspace accounts to access third-party apps via Sign in with Google, as reported by Brian Krebs. Additionally, Google resolved a bug in Chrome's Password Manager that caused saved passwords to disappear temporarily. This glitch, which began on July 24, affected approximately 2% of users who upgraded to Chrome 127 and lasted for more than 18 hours. The issue impacted millions of users, including 15 million Windows users and more than 18 impacted users worldwide, who rely on Chrome's built-in password tool.
