VisitGoogle Expands AI Search Summaries to UK, India, and Four More Countries
Aug 15, 2024, 02:46 PM
Google's parent company, Alphabet, is expanding its AI-generated search summaries to six new countries, including the UK and India. This expansion comes just two months after the company rolled back some capabilities following a problematic launch. The AI-generated summaries, known as AI Overviews, are also undergoing changes in how they display citations, aiming to improve transparency by altering the way sources are shown. Despite previous controversies, such as the feature suggesting Americans eat rocks, Google is moving forward with this international rollout.
