Goldman Sachs is restructuring its global banking and markets division by combining three key groups into a new entity called the Capital Solutions Group. This move aims to position the firm as a major player in the competitive private credit and private equity markets, reflecting its ambitions to be one of the biggest players in the increasingly competitive world of financing. The Capital Solutions Group will be led by Pete Lyon and is expected to focus on private credit and private equity financing. Goldman Sachs plans to unveil the new structure on Monday.
