VisitGoldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Wells Fargo Boost Bitcoin ETF Holdings Amid Institutional Surge

Major financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Wells Fargo, have significantly increased their holdings in Bitcoin ETFs, reflecting a growing institutional interest in cryptocurrency investments. Goldman Sachs reported holding over $418 million in Bitcoin ETFs, with overall assets reaching $2.8 trillion. Morgan Stanley disclosed a $187 million stake in BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust, contributing to its $1.4 trillion asset base. Wells Fargo has also invested $600 billion. This surge in institutional investment is part of a broader trend, with 1,950 funds now reporting Bitcoin ETF holdings, including 701 new funds this quarter. Despite recent Bitcoin price declines, spot Bitcoin ETFs have seen substantial inflows, indicating strong market confidence.
