VisitGermany to Supply Ukraine with 4,000 AI-Powered Mini-Taurus Drones Starting December
Nov 18, 2024, 08:48 AM
Germany is set to provide Ukraine with 4,000 AI-powered 'Mini-Taurus' drones, according to reports from Bild. These drones, developed by the German company Helsing, are equipped with advanced artificial intelligence and navigation systems that make them highly resistant to electronic warfare and GPS jamming. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in December, with several hundred units expected to be shipped monthly. The Mini-Taurus drones are designed for autonomous targeting and are capable of striking distant targets effectively. This move is part of a broader effort to enhance Ukraine's drone capabilities in its ongoing conflict with Russia, where drones have become a crucial element of modern warfare. The drones' advanced features include the Skynode system by U.S. company Auterion, which uses AI for computer vision, making them more resilient to electronic jamming. Additionally, Ukraine's drone suppliers are ramping up production of these cost-effective, computer-guided drones to bolster their defense against Russian forces.
