VisitGermany to Approve Nearly €400 Million in Military Aid for Ukraine, Additional €100 Million in Winter Aid

Germany is set to approve nearly €400 million ($445 million) in additional military aid for Ukraine, according to a letter seen by Reuters. This aid package includes 22 Leopard 1A5 tanks, 22 MRAPs, 5 tracked all-terrain vehicles Bandvagn 206, 1 All Terrain Tracked Carrier Warthog, 3 Gepards with spare parts, and 2 air surveillance radars TRML-4D. The German Defence Ministry hopes the government will approve hundreds of millions of euros more for Ukraine. Since 2022, 864 tanks have been promised to Kyiv, with 589 delivered by international partners. Recently delivered military equipment includes 3 Cheetah SPAAGs, 6 Hornet XR UAVs, 20 RQ-35 Heidrun UAVs, 12 Songbird UAVs, 20 Sonobot 5 USVs, 30 Vector UAVs, 22 Leopard 1A5 MBTs, 22 FFG MRAPs, 5 Bv206 ATVs, and 1 Bronco ATTC. Germany will also provide an additional €100 million in aid for Ukraine this winter, as stated by Baerbock.
