VisitGermany Expels Mohammad Hadi Mofatteh, Head of Banned Islamic Centre, by September 11
Aug 29, 2024, 09:25 AM
Germany has expelled Mohammad Hadi Mofatteh, the Iranian head of the recently banned Islamic Centre Hamburg (IZH), and given him until September 11 to leave the country. The expulsion follows the banning of the IZH for pursuing radical Islamist goals, with allegations of aiding Hezbollah and taking direct orders from the Islamic Republic of Iran. Authorities in Hamburg confirmed the deportation order, which requires Mofatteh, who has been the director since 2018, to leave within 14 days or face deportation to Iran.
