VisitGermany Bans Right-Wing Compact Magazine, Raids Publisher Jürgen Elsässer's Office
Jul 16, 2024, 07:00 AM
Germany's Interior Ministry has banned the right-wing extremist Compact magazine, citing its actions against the constitutional order. Authorities conducted searches in four states, including Brandenburg, Hesse, and Saxony, targeting the magazine's offices and the homes of its management and shareholders. The ban also extends to the CONSPECT FILM GmbH, associated with the same right-wing extremist network. The Interior Ministry emphasized that the magazine has been a central mouthpiece for right-wing extremism and incited hatred against Jews and foreigners. The office of the publisher, Jürgen Elsässer, was also raided.
