German authorities have arrested a 28-year-old Libyan man, identified as Omar A., suspected of planning a terrorist attack on the Israeli embassy in Berlin. The suspect, allegedly linked to the Islamic State (ISIS), intended to carry out an attack using firearms. The arrest occurred on Saturday evening in the greater Berlin area, based on intelligence from a foreign service, possibly Israel's Mossad. Prosecutors stated that Omar A. had been in contact with an ISIS member through messenger chats to plan the attack. He is scheduled to appear before Germany's highest court. The Israeli embassy has thanked German police for thwarting the suspected attack.
