Georgia Senior WR Colbie Young Arrested on Battery, Assault on Unborn Child Charges

Georgia senior wide receiver Colbie Young, who has been in the rotation as a pass catcher this season, was arrested early Tuesday morning on misdemeanor charges of battery and assault on an unborn child. According to the Athens-Clarke County jail website, Young was booked at 4:18 A.M. with a $2,500 bond and remained in jail four hours later. This incident marks the seventh arrest of a Georgia player since March 2024, with previous arrests involving Trevor Etienne, Smael Mondon, Sacovie White, Bo Hughley, and Daniel Harris on driving-related charges. Young's lawyer claims that his pregnant ex-girlfriend called the cops to get him arrested after discovering he had a new partner.
