George Nolfi, known for his work on 'The Bourne Ultimatum' and 'Ocean's Twelve,' has been hired to write the screenplay for the upcoming 'Star Wars' film titled 'New Jedi Order,' which will feature Daisy Ridley reprising her role as Rey Skywalker. The film, set to be directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, will take place 15 years after the events of 'The Rise of Skywalker.' In the story, Rey will be depicted as a mentor to a new generation of Jedi. The project, announced at Star Wars Celebration in April 2023, has faced delays and changes in its writing team, with Nolfi being the latest to join after the departure of previous writers Damon Lindelof, Justin Britt-Gibson, and Steven Knight.
