Gabrielle Rose, a 46-year-old swimmer, delivered an impressive performance at the US Trials by qualifying for the semifinals in the women's 100m breaststroke with a lifetime best of 1:08.43. Rose, who competed in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, won her heat at #SwimTrials24 on Sunday and advanced to the semifinals, where she finished 10th with another lifetime best of 1:08.32. Despite being 19 years older than her oldest competitor, Rose has become a fan favorite, even in a heat with hometown favorite Lilly King, who is the dominant top seed.
